Cameron Diaz is making her highly anticipated Hollywood comeback, and Us Weekly has exclusive insight into her acting return. In a new cover story, a source reveals that Diaz, 52, felt “burnt out” before stepping away from the spotlight as her “priorities shifted.” According to the insider, Diaz wasn’t sure if she’d make another movie following her appearance in 2014’s Annie. During her hiatus from the public eye, the actress started a family with husband Benji Madden, welcoming two children. “Having kids was something she always wanted, [but] didn’t feel like she could while working in Hollywood,” the source tells Us, adding that Diaz “is in a good place mentally” as she prepares to return to the screen in the upcoming movie Back in Action with Jamie Foxx.
