My Fashion Week Looks Are Too Good Not to Share—Here Are the Details

For New York fashion editors, the start of September means rushing to organize workloads and outfits for fashion week. Believe it or not, the stories don’t end when the runway shows, press previews, and parties begin! This year, I’m following in the footsteps of Kristen Nichols, our associate director of special projects, and sticking with simple, yet elevated outfits. “During NYFW, I like to stay true to my personal sense of style, which is rooted in classic, polished pieces and pared-back looks. Because my outfits are often relatively minimal and understated, I love adding jewelry and bags for some styling elements,” she shares. “Throughout the week there are a number of parties in the evenings, which are always fun social moments. I’ll be wearing a strapless mini dress and kitten heels, styled with a playful watch ring and a crossbody bag worn as a clutch with the strap tucked inside. This watch ring taps into one of the biggest trends we’re seeing in timepieces right now—infusing them with jewelry elements. “For runway shows, I’ll often experiment a bit more with the big trends of the season. On the fall/winter 24 runways, elegant, nostalgic fashion was one of the standout trends. It’s also had the biggest impact on my style. To tap into [this look], I styled a pleated A-line skirt with a vest and slingback heels, then added a delicate gold-link watch bracelet and leather box bag. “NYFW always includes a number of appointments, [so] I like to wear an outfit I can run around in.
