The Toxic Avenger remake starring Peter Dinklage finally has a release date and two teasers to boot!
The clips give us Dinklage as Winston Gooze, both before and after his toxic accident. The first teaser takes place in a fast food joint with questionable things on the menu, when Gooze comes in as Toxie and rips a server’s face off with his iconic green glowing mop. The audience is treated to a full look of the face sans lower jaw before cutting to black, where we hear more juicy maiming.
The second clip, which was released today, has Winston in his pre-toxic state. Gooze is sick, and his expensive (toxic) treatment isn’t covered by insurance. And so he goes to his boss, played by Kevin Bacon, who is happy to fire him rather than help. You can guess what happens next. Both clips prove that the movie will be gory, made especially so because Legendary gave them a bit more money to create the Butt Guts Unit. One guess what the focus of that team was.
In addition to Dinklage and Bacon, the film stars Elijah Wood, Jacob Tremblay, Taylour Paige, Julia Davis, and Jonny Coyne. It’s directed by Macon Blair (I Don’t Feel at Home in This World Anymore).
The Toxic Avenger hits theaters on August 29, 2025.
