Beyonce Gives Preview of Christmas Day Halftime Show Amid Jay-Z Accusations

Beyoncé is bringing the holiday spirit to Netflix on Christmas Day.

“A Cowboy Carter Christmas. HOUSTON, TEXAS 12.25,” Beyoncé, 43, captioned a clip shared via X on Wednesday, December 11, sharing a preview of her forthcoming halftime show.

Jingle bells and sirens play in the background of the 30-second clip, which features a snow-covered cactus adorned with Christmas lights. A pair of legs are seen walking up to the desert plant as hands hang an ornament. The camera pans out and lights turn on to reveal Beyoncé in an all-white outfit paired with a cowboy hat. As she moves along to the beat of the music, her cactus Christmas tree lights up. Beyoncé blows out smoke from her finger guns before winking and smiling at the camera.

“Halftime show this Christmas Houston, TX,” text on the screen read. The NFL matchup between the Baltimore Ravens and Houston Texans is scheduled to air live via Netflix on Wednesday, December 25. It was previously announced that Beyoncé would be performing at halftime.

Beyoncé is famously a Houston native, and her performance comes following the success of her Cowboy Carter record released earlier this year. (She has nabbed 11 nominations for the 2025 Grammy Awards.)

Beyoncé’s performance preview comes days after her husband, Jay-Z, was named in a civil lawsuit alongside Sean “Diddy” Combs, accusing both of raping a 13-year-old girl in 2000. The accuser, who has remained anonymous, claimed that the incident occurred at an MTV Video Music Awards afterparty that year.

Jay-Z, 55, denied the allegations in a statement shared with Us Weekly on Sunday, December 8. (The lengthy statement was also shared via the Roc Nation Instagram account.)

“My only heartbreak is for my family. My wife and I will have to sit our children down, one of whom is at the age where her friends will surely see the press and ask questions about the nature of these claims, and explain the cruelty and greed of people,” Jay-Z’s statement read. “I mourn yet another loss of innocence. Children should not have to endure such at their young age. It is unfair to have to try to understand inexplicable degrees of malice meant to destroy families and human spirit.”

Jay-Z and attorney Tony Buzbee’s current legal drama is just getting started. On Sunday, December 8, news broke that Jay-Z (real name Shawn Carter) was named alongside Sean “Diddy” Combs in a civil lawsuit filed by Buzbee. According to NBC News, the legal paperwork accused Jay-Z, 55, of allegedly raping a 13-year-old girl in 2000 […]

Jay-Z and Beyoncé, who have been married since 2008, share kids Blue Ivy, 12, and twins Rumi and Sir, both 8.

Part of his statement was directed to attorney Tony Buzbee, who filed the lawsuit again Sunday. (The suit was originally filed in October and only named Diddy, who is currently incarcerated on multiple charges following an arrest in September. He has vehemently denied any wrongdoing.)

Jay-Z claimed that he had “received a blackmail attempt, called a demand letter” from Buzbee.

“What he had calculated was the nature of these allegations and the public scrutiny would make me want to settle,” Jay-Z continued, noting that he wants to “expose” the attorney for “fraud” publicly.

“These allegations are so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one!! Whomever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away, would you not agree?” Jay-Z also wrote. “These alleged victims would deserve real justice if that were the case.”

Us Weekly has since confirmed that Jay-Z has filed to dismiss the civil lawsuit brought against him.
