Keeping things cordial!
Former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Teddi Mellencamp, 43, shared a tribute to her estranged husband, Edwin Arroyave, via Instagram two months after announcing their separation.
“16 years ago me and [Edwin] met. I will forever be grateful for that night at Coco Deville,” Mellencamp captioned a series of throwback photos of her and Arroyave, 47, on Thursday, December, 26.
“I would never have known I wanted kids until meeting my amazing stepdaughter, Isabella. My love for her changed my life and 5 years later came Slate, then Cruz, and then our miracle baby Dove in 2020,” the “Two Ts in a Pod” podcast host continued.
She concluded, “I may be far from perfect but being a mother has been the greatest gift you could have given me. Thank you always and forever.”
Mellencamp announced her separation from Arroyave on November 2.
“After a great deal of care and consideration, I have made the difficult decision to file for divorce,” Mellencamp wrote via Instagram. “My priority is my children and ensuring that every care is taken with their privacy and wellbeing throughout this new chapter.”
She added, “Making a public statement is not something I wanted to do, but in an effort to protect my family from undue speculation and rumors, I felt being open, honest and vulnerable was the best path forward.”
Later in November, Us Weekly reported that Mellencamp allegedly had an affair with her horse trainer, Simon Schroeder, months before separating from Arroyave.
“Simon and Teddi had a thing several months ago but it’s not still happening,” a source exclusively told Us, noting that Teddi and Edwin were both unfaithful to one another during their marriage.
A second insider claimed that Arroyave spoke with Schroeder’s wife, Karli, who “confirmed the affair.”
On Tuesday, December 24, Mellencamp detailed her first Christmas without her kids — Slate, 12, Cruz, 10, and Dove, 4 — as she spent the holidays at former RHOBH costar and pal Kyle Richards’ Beverly Hills home. (Mellencamp revealed earlier this month that she had moved in with Richards following her separation from her ex.)
“In my Bridget Jones era. If I didn’t laugh at myself, I would cry,” Mellencamp wrote alongside several videos of her in her pajamas singing “All By Myself,” channeling a scene from Renée Zellweger’s movie Bridget Jones’s Diary.
Mellencamp opened up about adjusting to her new normal, adding, “First Christmas without my kids, and I know they’re in great hands with an amazing dad, but that doesn’t mean I can’t feel some type of way.”
She concluded: “Ordered $74 of Thai food, eating cookie dough (who has time to bake) and watched 9 episodes of Lioness. To all my parents out there going through this, I love you. What are all the tips for powering through?”
